The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) in conjunction with Hosts the Victorian Regional Water Corporations (represented in 2011 by Western Water) and a number of partnering organisations present the 74th Annual Victorian Water Industry Engineers and Operators Conference and Exhibition in Bendigo on 7 & 8 September 2011.  This is one of three very successful ‘operationally focused’ conferences and exhibitions organised by WIOA annually.

Who attends?
This conference brings together operations and maintenance personnel from all over Victoria including representatives from Regional Water Corporations, local Councils, Water Authorities and other private enterprise employers; water and wastewater utility managers, scientists, researchers, and engineers; as well as consultants to the water industry.  The 2010 event in Bendigo attracted just over 1200 people which included water industry employees from every water corporation in Victoria, representatives from Tasmania and New Zealand plus exhibition day visitors and Exhibitors.  This is an opportunity to network with grass roots operators and engineers, visit over 140 companies exhibits under one roof, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Technical Program
The conference technical program will provide key information for anyone interested in the operational side of the water or wastewater industry. Importantly, the papers presented at past events are not just about water or wastewater treatment but cover a wide range of topic such as issues relating to water supply

  • water treatment and managing distribution networks

  • use of reclaimed water or biosolids
