Prime Minister Julia Gillard joins Green Capital for a keynote

Press Release http://www.greencapital.org.au/subscription.html Australia's path to a price on carbon pollution has been long and hard. The politics are brutal but a carbon price remains on the agenda

We'll ask the big questions
How will business start to change if it costs more to pollute and there are market rewards for being clean? Who'll deliver the investment, innovation and infrastructure to enable the transformation to a low-pollution, sustainable economy?  Can the political system sustain the effort over the decades?

We'll look at our future choices
What's needed is action from Australia's policy makers, politicians, community visionaries, academic thought leaders and business groups to craft a sustainable future.
Australia has amazing natural resources, smart people and technologies, and genuine homegrown visionaries with far-sighted plans for how the nation can make the transition to a clean energy, low-waste economy.  We also have political parties, business lobby groups and NGOs bruised and polarised by the carbon price battle.

What will this mix produce for the future?  Pipe dreams, short term expediency, or new business success stories and nation-building projects for the 21st century?

Green Capital is bringing together big picture people from politics, business and sustainability.

Join GREEN CAPITAL to find out WHAT'S NEXT … and explore the nation’s future.
